We had taken transversal and peripheral sections from involucrum leaves (phillaries which play an important role in the key characteristic of two species, for our interior morphological studies. Also, the leaf and stem characteristics are very important for determining the species. In the peripheral sections of the stem, we had measured the number of tracheas in 1mm2, the longitudinal and transversal diameters, the length and width of the sclerenchymatous fibers, the thickness of the cell wall and the space of the lumen. The ratio of the tissue in the stem and the joining tissue of the stem is calculated as for the leaf, the leaf of cuticula and upper and lower epidermis have been measured. Besides, venation (number in 1mm2), the length and the width of the stomata and their numbers (in 1 mm2) have been counted. The anatomic differences which we have established are listed at the end of the paper in table form. These differences are clearly related to environmental factors and whether the plant is placed vertically or horizontally (erect or prostrate) in other words the position of the plant.
