The importance of drug wastes from the standpoint of environment and human health

In those formed wastes, drugs and drug related compounds are recently becoming health and environmental concerns. In this review; potential health and environmental contamination problems originated from used drug and the metabolites entering municipal waste water systems, unused or expired drugs thrown into household garbage containers, or wastes released from drug production plants have been commentated in the light of the recent publications.
