According to our taxonomical research made on the genus Eremurus (Liliaceae- Asphodeloideae- Asphodeleae), between 1976-1982, two species are found in Turkey as indicated in previous literature: E. spectabilis Bieb. subsp. spectabilis (sect. Eremurus) and E. cappadocicus J. Gay ex Baker [sect. Ammoliron (Kar et Kir) Boiss]. In this paper, their descriptions, distributions, habitats, flowering time, attitudes and variations mainly based on the examined specimens, have been represented.
