Folk medicinal plants of Trabzon (Turkey)
Folk medicinal plants of Trabzon (Turkey) were investigated. According to the results of the identification of the specimens collected between July 1992- June 1993, it has been found that 67 species recorded from 88 different places are being used as folk medicine. Among them 42 species are wild and 25 species are cultivated plants. These are listed in the text according to their usage in therapy. The folk medicinal plants are mostly used for the treatment of bronchitis, rheumatism, hemorrhoid, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, sprainsi muscle pains and abscesses.
