Microbial investigation in non-sterile pharmaceutical and cosmetic products I. The detection of mycotic contamination in eye cosmetic
In this study mycotic analysis of eye cosmetics were examined. The examine of mycotic contaminants were found as live microorganisms. Eye cosmetics take their place in the non - sterile products group, as the other cosmetics. As eye cosmetics, 22 eyeliner, 11 mascara, 12 eye shadow samples were collected for mycological analyses. A number of 5 samples were taken from the users who had some allergic problem their eyes. In the 46.7 % of samples as a major contaminant. P. rugulosum, secondly A.versicolor (42.2 %), thirdly the species of Dematiaccous fungi were found. The major flora occured by aspergillus (43.5 %), penicillium (39%) and dematiaeous (10.4%) strains as the responsible agents of allergy. A.flavus, A. fumigatus, A. chevalieri var. chevalieri, A. tamari, A. versicolor, Cladosporium, sphaerospermum, P. chrysogenum ve S. brevicaulis were isolated from the user’s cosmetics.
